Friends will always be there,
Even when you don’t want them to.
Friends will give you love and care,
They know exactly what to do.
Friends know just when to get out of your hair,
And let you just be you.
Friends, to find, are so rare;
You’d be lucky to have two.
Friends will always be fair,
And tell you when the fault’s from you.
Friends will give you courage when you’d never dare:
And in times of trouble will stay true.
Friends will be the comfort that dim a nightmare-
The very thoughts that lift your mood.
Friends are the people you wish you were
Because they bring out the best in you.
Friends will easily mend a tear
Whether in clothes or a heart that’s blue.
Friends will sympathize when all is drear
In good times, their laughter will soothe.
