THE MAN I LOVE

It’s a forever kind of thing;
This love of which I sing.
How could I have fallen so deep;
Without knowing it- I must have been asleep.
It surprises me sometimes
The way He always fills my mind.
I think about Him everyday
With all my heart, every step of the way.
He’s the reason I smile:
His love is worth the while.
He’s brought a spring to my step,
My feelings gone to a new depth.
I never miss Him, cause He’s always with me:
Right here in my heart: that’s where He’ll be.
He says I’m His treasure.
His Words give me such pleasure.
He’s the one I always want to talk to
As I’m madly in love with Him, He’s crazy about me too.
He said He’d take me to the skies;
I believe Him- He never lies.
See, He does all the things no man’s done before:
He gives me inner peace and much, much more.
He has all the time in the world for me;
He’s never too hassled or too busy.
He’s kind and gentle- He’s so sensitive;
He helps, he encourages- He makes me think positive.
When I call on Him, He’s never late;
We have so much in common- this Man’s my soul mate.
I want to stand on a mountaintop and shout
No secrets- I want everyone to find out!
I’m so well acquainted with His entire family line:
I’ve met His Father- that Man’s simply Divine.
So now, there’s nothing that can ever separate us.
…Who? My man? Oh, His name is Jesus.
