STAY WITH ME

Hold My hand tight; don’t let go.
Focus. Trust Me. I know this road.
When darkness makes it hard to see,
I’ll always be here- stay with Me.
When you don’t feel Me, hear My voice;
One step a time, choice after choice.
I’ll walk with you through light and dark;
Carry your weights on My own back.
You’re worth My pain on Calvary.
Don’t flee in danger- stay with Me.

And if at a point in Our walk
You fall, you can rest on this Rock.
You’re so beautiful in My eyes;
I see beyond your sin’s disguise.
I’ll forgive- I love you enough.
I’ll bridge every existing gulf.
I’ll go that far and even more.
I’ll never leave, I’m at your door.
I’m still here; where We made Our vow.
My Word to you stands even now.
So though you sinned, don’t turn away.
Don’t leave Me at the altar- stay.

After We walk a great distance,
Don’t weary of Our holding hands;
Or head off for a smoother path-
Don’t go and leave Me in the dust.
Listen now, while We’re standing close:
I’m God- there is no other road;
No higher truth, no wiser means;
No matter how solid it seems.
I’m enlightenment at its best;
I’m wisdom in its truest sense.
High-sounding theories and discourse
Which don’t proclaim My Son are false!
I have all the answers you seek;
I AM the truth, Child, stay with Me.
