Corinthia
Break apart this temple.
It might not resurface in 3 days
But hopefully
Over a lifetime,
It will stand in Your Grace.
Teach me, Rabbi,
Though I misunderstand
Sow the seeds, guide with a firm hand.
For one day, it will sink in deep
And then Sower, You'll finally reap.
Entrust me,
I may abuse Your gift
But I'll grow and others I'll then uplift.
Rebuke me and I'll repent once more
I'll retake my armour, return to war.
Frustrate You, I will
At almost every turn
But in this way, patience from You I'll learn
From every disappointment You endure
I'll watch You and emulate; hence I'll mature.
So love me still,
Weak-minded and strong-willed
I make to stray from what You have instilled.
But if Your lovingkindness has no limit to exhaust
I'll take what You extend and humbly ask for more.
