On days like this I can sit and stare
I could shut You out and just not care
But deep inside, know You're still there
Your love in my every breath of air.

At nighttime when my soul is dark
And sin has left me wounded, marked,
I could barricade my bleeding heart
But You'll keep knocking, never part.

Where can I go to hide from You?
What could I do to shake You loose?
What force is there on earth or moon
That could against me dissuade You?

Oh love that would not let me go!
Though depths of my darkness well-known
Why You love me, I'll never know
But I say, Amen! Let it be so.
